Abstract
When programming VOLKSWAGEN GROUP VAG MQB car keys, The instrument cluster is JOHNSON Conrols, Known as JCI, Or the instrument cluster is CONTINENTAL VDO type, commonly seen as VDO2220 on Volkswagen, AUDI, SKODA. We can not acquire the IMMO Dump from the instrument cluster directly, that means to program a car key for VAG MQB types is not as easiler as we usually do. Here we introduce a way to tell how to programming car keys for VAG MQB platform cars use On bench MQB key adaption harness and VVDI2, Many car Model of Volkswagen group belongs to MQB type, including but not limited to VW Golf, VW Lamando, VW Tiguan, VW Teramont, SKODA Superb, Octavia, AUDI A3, A5, VW MAGOTAN etc.

Process
To Programming the MQB keys on the bench, we usually have to dismantle the ECU or the Instrument cluster from the car, but considering that, the ECU is easier to dismantle than the instrument cluster and will not cause any fault code, So we recommend to dismantle the ECU is better than dismantle the instrument cluster. Then use the MQB harness to connect the ECU, the alternative MQB dashboard, J519 BCM, MQB gateway on the bench. Connect the VAS5054 to one of the OBD interface of the MQB harness, then Login ODIS, enter Immobilizer adaption.
2. ODIS online adapting.
3. Select special function, select 25th adapting Immobilizer, click testing, follow the directions to adapting
4. Click cancel, The alternative dashboard had already complete adaption with the car's ECU, Then connect the VVDI2, select MQB-35XX VDO, Click the read IMMO data button
5. Attention. It need put the original car keys at first, to read the original key data first
6. When the finish the dealer key generation, the ECU can install back to the car, Then use VVDI loading the dump to study the key to the car. click the keys learning, select MQB-NEC35XX VDO type,
7. It shows on the instrument cluster the keys 2 of 2 had already complete learning, then test if the keys can start the car and the remote works well or not
Note
MQB keys for PASSAT is exclusive use; MQB keys for Magotan can be replaced by Golf 7 MQB keys; MQB Keys for AUDI A3 A6L can be replaced by Golf 7 keys; MQB keys for lamando can be replaced by Golf 7 keys
